Barbour Dry Flys at WWW.WHENWEWERECASUALS.COM

Alright Everyone,

Feel's like Christmas has come early round these parts. The reason why.......Barbour have just delivered in the first of our SS2010 delivery. Dave the UPS man appeared to have a halo behind him - and we are sure we heard angels singing hallelujah - as he floated into the store carrying boxes of delights that in our heads, were not going to be with us until January.

We delved in and what a treat we got.......the long awaited, and very welcome return of the Barbour Dry Fly fishing jacket.

Only the other day we were sat in the pub discussing whether this is the best jacket Barbour have ever made and on the evidence of what we see before us, it could well be. We have it in olive and black flyweight (4oz) Barbour Sylkoil wax and both are almost too good to be true. We are awaiting a further delivery of these in January but if you want to get involved before the new year, then here is your chance.

And the treats don't stop there, also in the boxes of cheer and joy was this absolute beauty re-working of the classic Barbour Durham jacket that is fully waterproof and could quite easily reduce grown men to cry tears of happiness. A fantastic lightweight fabric coupled with inticate design and detail place this jacket right up there with the Dry Fly. Our view.......we think it has rightfully earned it's own place in the Barbour archive hall of fame. World class.

If this first showing of what we have ordered for next year is anything to go by then we are quietly ecstatic that 2010 is going to be a very good year.

Now don't forget, guaranteed next day delivery on all orders taken up until the 23rd December so if you want to save yourself from the current scrums on the nations high streets, come to www.whenwewerecasuals.com and we will make sure you (and yours) are very well looked after.

That is us for now

Ciao ciao

Alright everyone,

Phew, we just about managed to catch you this week. Been a tad manic round these parts what with the Christmas rush and all that. Not for you to worry though as you can simply sit in your favourite armchair, sipping a cup of tea and get all of your festive shopping taken care of right here at www.whenwewerecasuals.com . Easy peasy.

Right, we promised you the pre Christmas drop from Lyle And Scott Vintage and true to our word, here it is. We got the latest gear from those Scottish wizards with some very special garments starting off in the shape of this fine flannel shirt in navy

and red...

a spectacular (pictures don't do this jacket justice) waxed cotton hooded jacket in black...

and peat (brown to you and me)

and then they go and get all city gent on us with their version of a waterproof nylon mac in black

and that peat colour again (yep, it is definitely brown)..

Then, just to give you a real Xmas treat, here are the first ever Lyle And Scott Vintage trainers in white canvas

navy canvas with caramel sole (almost good enough to eat)

and finally, if you fancy smartening up, we have black canvas with a white sole

Top marks to the Scottish. All of this gear is pretty limited so make sure you get in there sharpish as it will not hang around for too long.

Alright everyone,

Following up from the launch of the limited edition No 6 tees that went live last week, we are happy (but also a little sad) to bring you the final ever editions of the When We Were Casuals classic logo tees.

This latest, very limited run of tees are in a single colour print which makes them pretty unique against what has been released from ourselves in the past.

Once they are gone, you will never ever, in a million years be able to get your hands on any of these. There are some changes on the horizon (more about that in another newsletter) and we thought this would be a little Christmas treat for those of you that want to add to your collection.

Also just in this week, a vintage brown leather Clark's Originals desert boot. Everything about this shoe shouts blinding!! The unmistakeable classic shape, the crepe sole and then to top it all off, they go and produce it in leather. Who says you should never mess with perfection?? Not us.

New in next week, we have the super exclusive pre Christmas drop from Lyle And Scott Vintage which features a fully waterproof, wax cotton raincoat as well as a couple of the best check flannel shirts we have seen (we know we say this a lot but the current standard in flannel check shirts is particularly strong.......just as we think it can't get any better, it does). Along with that we have our very first offering of a Lyle And Scott Vintage trainer so keep your eyes and ears open for the heads up. You will be amongst the first to know.

A recent re-stock on Clarks Originals, Barbour Knitwear, Garbstore Outerwear, Adidas Trainers and Farah Vintage shirts should ensure that you are not going to be left all down in the dumps because the item you have had your well trained eye on all year is no longer available. As always, WWW.WHENWEWERECASUALS.COM is your one stop shop for all things of a stylish nature.

Ho ho ho
